Order Entry Representative (Contract 12-18 months)

Location: Scarborough, Ontario

Primary function:

This position plays an important role in supporting our daily order processing functions. Your high attention to detail and sense of urgency will ensure that you are able to complete your work in a timely manner. This role is responsible for order entry, preparing invoices, filling, and other administrative tasks, while delivering excellent customer service to internal and external customers.

Your Responsibilities will include:

  • Responding to customer questions regarding pricing, delivery dates, product specifications, returns, proof of deliveries, etc. in a timely and accurate manner
  • Timely and accurate entry of all order information, including pricing, delivery times, etc. in the appropriate software systems. This includes checking and validating all information entered to ensure a high degree of accuracy
  • Supporting a positive relationship with both customers and coworkers alike through daily interactions and actions
  • Communicating with internal and external customers
  • Preparation and updating various reports
  • Other duties as required to support the sales, administration/Finance & production departments

Your work background will include:

  • 2 years in an order desk role, or clerical administrative experience ideally in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience utilizing spreadsheets, database programs
  • Proficient experience utilizing Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook, Word etc.)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask in a fast pace environment with the ability to take direction and perform tasks within specified time frames
  • Team player
  • Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent
